Very interesting article. Not knowing much about the political environment in the region, is there anybody on HC that may have an opinion on any successors and their attitude towards mining/development of resources?
There is no question that one of the big risk factors (and one of the things holding the SP down) is the political risk of the area.
SDL has agreements in place etc, and with the job creation/royalty/ownership benefits to Cameroon, embracing mining could be a great boost for the economy there, but that is no guarantee a new government will be as eager to push ahead - thus the risk obviously.
Interested in anybody's opinion regarding future political direction of the region. Is change in leadership a possible boost to SDL or a hinderance?
