As a small Kiwi investor I bought into BKI before the offer about September of more shares up to $A15k.
The main attractions for me were what what I considered a highly efficient management team, the low cost to run the company, steady dividend and significant holdings in many companies I like but can't afford in worthwhile numbers(ie banks and the likes of Woodside, BHP and AGL).
So I guess I went for a bit from a lot and a good spread.
I probably paid a bit much but considering our dollar has crashed since they are worth about $NZ1.56 to me.
Certainly better than being in one of the dozens of finance companies to crash and burn here!
