There are almost 1M shorts that need to close out...they would be mostly owned by skilled instos using bots, on down sentiment days or on the sniff of bad news they pound the price down (mostly selling and buying from and to themselves) . Then back off as it surges etc etc ... cycle continues.
They are playing on the uncertainty regarding chinese regulation and doubts about the sustainability of Blackmores growth.
Any time you see an article about chinese regulation in the AFR, expect a pounding.
Makes for good trading if you can pick the trough and peak. Its also safe trading as fundamentally BKL is extremely strong
