Because I really think you're judging the company way too quickly. To me, this is where the future growth will be. Keep in mind that the .1% result was before even launching in supermarkets, plus Blackmores strategy is not daigou sales. They are aiming to service the consumers here in the market directly. From what I've seen in Beijing (which I admit is limited) there are NO Blackmores formula tins on the shelves as of yet. And I remember the company even mentioning it would be launching late August over here. The only company I have seen selling is bal (about 400rmb a tin).

Considering the vast majority of IF sales in Oz are shipped to China. I am not at all concerned that the sales are low. In reality the true launch is late August when the IF goes on sale direct to consumers over here. Because this company is MASSIVE here. IMO when people see Blackmores formula on the shelves theyre going to ditch bal and a2m (which I do hold. A2 is a solid differentiator) in favour of the brand they know and love. I would even go so far as to say the reason there is no daigou demand currently is simply because consumers in China don't really know it exists yet.

Am i missing some big announcement the company made that IF sales are a concern? I really don't understand the doom and gloom! If so please tell me, otherwise, in the words of oddball, "have a little faith baby!"

Of course, this is just my opinion on the topic. I don't even own Blackmores shares.... but I do own a fair amount of bega based on my belief that the joint venture will go well.

2 Sydney chemists i've been to in the last week have BKL IF covered in discount stickers on the top shelf. I'd need a ladder to reach them :-(
