Was lucky enough to be able to watch the paydirt conference today, was more just about what its like for mining companies in africa these days compared to the past and a more net working conference.
was interesting to hear JDV mention bringing in foreign investments into tanzania when he was asked about ESG. After watching today it seems to me that its the ESG component that is holding up finance, tanzanian gov keen to get this project moving but bkt needs to meet more criteria in ESG to receive finance from foreign institutions.
all this is just my take on what was discussed.
