They are just copying the sepo's who have had graphite on the critical minerals list for a few years now (natural graphite goes was listed in 2018 from memory)
I haven't seen too much in the way of future capital planning from the major miners, this leads me to believe, they'll buy out the (very) few miners that get to positive cash flow stage.
