Smashed was in terms of the share price after the issue date of the share purchase plan shares versus the market price ($15.43 on 24 Sep 2009) the date the share purchase plan was announced. Hence it was smashed, and remains depressed at the $12.60'ish level for months now.
I closed out the short position, which was almost guaranteed from the start ($3/share profit). All the novices are probably still long from the share purchase plan price and losing opportunity cost day after day, while the smarties have already walked away with the profit on the short trade yonks ago.
Don't get mad at your poor decision, but get smart for the next trade.
