Black art scandal

    Ages ago I visited an old hippy and earth mother from a past life to find her producing an indigenous dot painting. She is of Anglo Saxon heritage.

    As an art teacher at the local TAFE she had fallen in with a community of aboriginal women artists. Eventually they conferred her with honorary aboriginal status or some such allowing her to create dot paintings.

    Some time later, I learned, cultural appropriation became a thing and local elders stepped in and unceremoniously dumped her from their community. She was shattered, where's the love?

    It's developed into a massive scandal in the art world affecting the NGA, other prominent galleries around the world and celebrity buyers. Some of these giant canvases sell for millions due to their authenticity and truth telling. Oops. No matter, Andy's on the case:
