    11% sounds close to what I'm now thinking.

    FTSE has just regained the bottom of its old channel at approx 3800 and its down 7%. By my reckoning the bottom of the next channel is down about another 5%. Add say another 1% if it drags along down the bottom for the rest of the night; I get -13%, assuming Dow is similar
