Hi all, I don't have a background running a business but as a consumer I've made an interesting observation.
TPW's Black Friday sales are 15% across all products but only if you spend $149 at a minimum. I thought this is strange because that's 2 incentives not to shop at TPW during this period.
(1) 15% is a pretty pathetic discount when compared to pretty much every other business out there on BF.
(2) having a minimum spend of $149 to get that pathetic discount is another hoop to jump through.
So my question is this... Why? I'm sure there are reasons for it, but I'm just wondering what they are? It's not like TPW is working on really slim margins (unless I'm mistaken?). The only other reason I could think of is that they don't want too many people shopping due to limited supply? Seems unlikely?
Anyway, I'm sure there are smarter people on these forums that can provide a good reason why an online-only store has such sheit sales on the biggest sales day of the year (for online businesses)?
