No, I have to disagree with you there Mod. The idea is to be understood, in fact more so then in any other genre; all of which genres are in competition with each other. All forms of expression are in comp with each other. Some people are excellent at articulating their emotions musically, others with a brush, others still with a scalptor's chissel, others in a novel, a play, a poem; and in each of these areas there are sub-areas: impressionism, naturalism, realism, etc.
The fewer people grasp what you're trying to say, the more miserable you're going to be because, well, all that stuff you want to express has gone to waste. Imagine the level that some of the morons here would stop at!
