I think you'll find, the specific people you are referring to aren't generational Australian, let alone the advantage of 1000 - 4000 years of British Isles heredity. It's not their fault and is certainly not cricket to pick on their weakness.
True Australians traditionally get out of their lounge chairs for important things like governance over reach, wage class wage equilibrium, war, football and the beach. Otherwise they work for money to raise a family and put food on the table for publicans.
