My knowledge of these things isn't as good as others so there may be other views.

Simply the 'accumulators of small number patterns' are broker to broker buys. They trade the ridiculously low numbers amongst themselves pay no brokerage and effectively end up with the same number of shares they started with at the close of the day- by manipulating stock sales and volumes. Not according to the ASX of course.
What they do is gradually - as you will see drop small parcels on and take them between themselves and as they drag the share price lower by this type of trading they hope to catch a seller who sells a significant parcel and so on.
At the end of the trading day the brokers divide up the total they actually bought for their client and they move on to the next day and do the same again.

The botting attempts to set the lower patterns and figures for the day - look at today's trading again - so far 355 trades at an average of 800 shares per trade.

The positive is someone is still trying to accumulate the stock. In the past 2-3 weeks they have ( by buying kept IMO the price pretty solid).

Days in the market like today could see and has seen speculative stocks like KAR get hammered so whilst it is .20c off they are still buying and the drop is based on low volume ( due to the fact that there aren't any really significant sellers)

All in all it is a good sign that the buyer/s are here !
