Why are they dewatering now? I'm afraid I'm more with KD than TB on this one. As the announcement says it's to facilitate more drilling, which will lead to more lab work, which is a "key pre-requisite for maximising the Ore Reserve in the BFS". In other words, it's preparing multiple excuses for delaying the BFS:
"Pit's not dry yet"
"Still drilling"
"Waiting on the Lab work"
"Updating the BFS"
I'd love TB to be right and for us to suddenly get hit with a Tsunami of cracking news that sends the SP rocketing, but unfortunately KD's explanation seems more logical to me. What they currently have doesn't quite cut it, so they're playing for time in the hope they can get some more reserve, or for PBT to be a bit closer to an offtake, or the Ni price to improve again.
If everything was peachy they'd "Start Her Up" like TB keeps demanding, but they aren't, so why not? Is it all cunning and secret (in which case wouldn't the board be filling their boots on market?) or are we in for some more disappointment...
