I wouldn't worry too much about flappy bird taking market share from angry birds, In the grand scheme of things this will be negligible.

I've been playing flappy bird and it is quite fun and addictive and sooo simple. The ads that pop up are pretty effective and even when trying to steer this silly bird through the pipes I can't help but look at the add. Flappy bird proves that these things are gold mines if you get them right.

Imagine if MBE develops a game/app that reaches top 10 popularity.
They could essentially create revenue by;

1- charging companies for the ad space on the app
2- in app purchases (as seen in candy crush for instance)
3 - making the ads that appear on the app.

I have played flappy birds today and yesterday and a lot of the ads have been different today than what I saw yesterday - lots of companies want to use this space.

MBE starts developing a few 'flappy birds' and you can forget about it.
