I worked at the Silver Swan back when they cut the portal and it was an AMAZING mine. We flat backed...literally just drilled high grade nickel straight out and dropped it on the deck.
Its a very deep mine however the salinity is extreme and it was hard work towards the end. If they can prove up grades anything like what was there it will be a good thing for POS.
Back at that time (pre-Norilsk days) the operation grew from a small scale mine to a large operation and the focus "seemed" to be aimed at moving bulk tonnes as opposed to the low volume (extremely) high grade Silver Swan ore.
The question is.....did they define the resource properly or just move on to Black Swan.....the next best thing? That one I cant answer but history has shown that new owners with fresh vision always seem to extract more from existing mines.
