With RIO down around 40% in London it looks like a Black Wednesday for RIO shareholders here.
It's hard to believe that in May RIO traded at $157.45 and today it closed at $63.90 with the possibility of a 40% smashing - a fall of over $20 - in prospect for Wednesday.
A 75% decline for a blue chip resource stock in just 6 months? It's hard to believe, isn't it?
Just imagine what might happen to all those leveraged RIO investors facing margin calls?
This market has sure been ugly. Commiserations to investors in RIO.
