PTW, wouldn't that be a dream scenario - stock split and special dividend!. My view on stock split should be 3/4 to 1 for two reasons. Firstly it encourages liquidity and secondly mums/dads investors would be able to buy the stock in decent quantities. SP movement? We might see a 10% movement up leading to ex-dividend. At its lowest point today, the SP is down 31% (bear market territory) from its high. For me that is a great buying opportunity.
