Yes, he seems to like demonising coal even though electricity prices were cheaper under them. I think the full realisation that renewables is going to cost a truckload more than Bowen thought, he is panicking and blaming the original power source even though the extra powerlines, approvals, and infrastructure costs are associated with renewables apart from the extra cash the state governments are stumping up to keep the aging power stations online after telling them to close.
