Sky News host Peta Credlin says power prices have “risen by up to 40 percent in just two years”.

Ms Credlin said that Chris Bowen wants you to believe that today's draftdefault market offer is a “win”.

She said it is “anything but” a win.

“At best people will see a price drop of 7 per cent, depending on wherethey live, with some households told to expect a rise … of just under 3 percent.

“Now I get it that during a cost-of-living crisis you’re going to takewhatever win you can get, but when Labor went to the election promising youyour bill would be down by $275 a year and the reality it’s gone up between$250 a year and for some, nearly $830.
