If you're going to get a battery, why not actually get one that can actually support the home in the event of grid failure? (being yet another argument supporting Redflow's solution, in addition to longevity, no capacity loss, temperature tolerance, no fire risk, etc.)

I'll repeat my prediction that battery capacities of < 10kWh are a short term phenomenon that will fade away as battery prices drop and customer awareness around capability/benefits grows, especially once energy trading networks and other technologies like Reposit become more common and you can start making money with (spare) battery capacity.
