Do you happen to know what reason has been given for the decision not to proceed with Burdekin Falls Dam Stage 2? Can't be environmental, is it?
This is one of those rare developments where the locals are totally behind it. Nothing of economic or enviromental interest would be flooded.
I'm not privy to the gov. costings and can't say why they have not proceeded but it sounds suspiciously like : "Dams don't get me re-elected, pork barrels will!"
