That so many exclamation points are featured and you apparently dislike one of the greatest figures in medical history is bemusing/confusing/disturbing..not sure which one...

The topic of the thread is that a substantial holder of GXY with a 5.5 trillion portfolio across all sectors is obviously positioning itself for the future and it would appear that an anonymous post from a 'realist' coal cheerleader is plainly poor propaganda.

We are discussing the future on this forum of how one day we will all have the option to upgrade our ICE vehicles for EVs and be able to be self-sufficient with solar panels and battery storage. We are not without fault, some of us still naughtily use plastic bags for our shopping, buy cage eggs and yet there are a lucky few that can afford to be self-sufficient, already having invested in EVs and battery systems.

The main with the SA situation that you naively blame on renewables is that centralised energy dependence is vulnerable to disruption (the reason for the blackout was poles and wires if you DYOR) and those that had on-site energy capture and storage were unaffected.

Eventually technological progress will triumph over convenience, greed and habitual stupidity, it's just a shame that one of the barriers are the ignorant slaves to the system.
