Maybe they could but is that likely?
If AVB continues to grow as we all hope, one probability is that BlackRock may take part in more deals perhaps for even more royalities.
That's not a bad thing as it is now in their interests for AVB to produce as much as possible and as fast as possible.

All good saying that Stage 1 could fund Stage 2 and then Stage 2 could fund Stage 3 but it has taken years to get to here and I for one don't want my AVB shares paying for my funeral.
