btr were quite specific that transport costs were included in the $1500 figure... from memory they added that transport is associated with 60% of the costs...could be higher, check last perkoa announcement (it was definately there)...
received a response from Scott today....
As you are no doubt aware, BHP Billiton is funding and has full responsibility for operating the current exploration program for Phase 3B. As such, decisions regarding the operation until 31 December 2009 rest solely with BHPB. As JV partner we have announced information that is shared with us by BHPB. However, as reported 22/9/09 in our ASX announcement, Blackthorn Resources fully supports BHP Billiton’s decision regarding safety improvements and the suspension of drilling during the wet season.
After 31st December 2009, BHPB has an option to fully fund and operate the next phase of exploration and they are not required to make made that decision until then. Any drilling or other exploration work that occurs post 2009 will therefore be funded and operated either by BHP Billiton if they elect to fully fund, or by BTR should BHPB not elect to proceed.
In answer to your questions:
1. Zambian Wet Season
BTR cannot comment with any level of expertise about the duration of the wet season, and would refer you to more appropriate meteorological sources.
2. Recommencement of drilling
We cannot predict the timing of recommencement of drilling, as this is not our decision to make unless we were to become the operator in early 2010.
I would again emphasise that no decision has yet been made about who will operate and fund Phase 4.
In the mean time, and as stated in the recent announcement, some essential work is continuing on site. This includes relocating the camp closer to Mushingashi, making important safety improvements, recruiting a new drilling contractor and designing future drill patterns.
