N, I did not imply that transport costs were not a cash costs. By definition having to pay cash to transport the conc from mine site to port would be a cash item. But having transport make up over 60% of cash costs is extreme for any mine.
My point was that cash costs are only part of the issue, you need to take into account other costs as well and the margin was getting squeezed.
I worked for BHP once many years ago. They have gone overboard with regard to health and safety.
