UBS believes the story still has legs and that results from an optimisation study, which should be known by April 2014, could show more economic development opportunities for the deposit than those initially identified. This most recent delivery of a higher resource grade adds further weight to UBS’s argument.
While delivery of the study is the most likely share price catalyst, there is also the prospect of a takeover given the quality of the asset and experience of other players which have successfully developed copper projects with lower grades from the ground up.
