QUEENSLAND Mines Minister Andrew Cripps trod a fine line when he visited the Golden Triangle on Wednesday.

He met with affected landowners at Kate and Eugene Sullivan's property, Springton, before meeting with Bandanna Energy executives Michael Gray and John Pegler and receiving a run-down on the $1.2 billion Springsure Creek underground mine proposed for strategic cropping land within the Triangle.

Emerald, Gindie and Springsure residents will next week be offered a perspective on Springsure Creek through interactive animation that lets users explore it above and below the ground.

The realistic model, based on aerial photography and detailed mapping, will be one of the key items of interest at Bandanna's drop-in public information sessions.

"The animation will help people who aren't mining experts get a real feel for how the project will progress and understand the detail and the tailored management strategies we are committed to," Mr Gray said

Mr Gray and other Bandanna representatives will attend the sessions on Monday, from 3pm-8pm at the Gindie Tennis Club, and Springsure Library and Bicentennial Art Gallery on Wednesday, from 3pm-7pm.

Bandanna personnel will also be at the Emerald Centro Village on Tuesday from 9am-6.30pm.
