Not really wanting to get into the blame game here but the reality is that it has happened on the BB's and BBB's watch.

All those people have been voting for 40-50-60 years . They have had the power to change government policy in that time.

They have enjoyed the returns of property all that time. They haven't been complaining about it.

Expensive property doesn't happen overnight . This has been coming for a long time .

Back in the day many people went without in order to get into a house . The good old days of no carpets for years . Sheets for curtains and so on. Buying a real crap house somewhere and doing the work yourself . Not paying people to do it.

Or to everyone's shock and horror , moving away a considerable distance ( rural ) to where housing was much cheaper .

Times have changed . For better of worse . People are reluctant to do what was done in the past .

So , this has happened during the boomers tenure and they have benefited from it enormously.

lf it's not the BBB's fault, whose is it ?
