Yes do go on - its the newer generations that have brought in most of what you say.
Apart from a mortgage, we didn't have debt nor did our governments have the levels of deficit they have today. We bought what we could afford and not borrow money we didn't have to impress people we didn't like.


You didn't live in the 60s 70s so you don't have a clue - just envy and constamt whingeing.
