Morning all. Expect an increase today in Boral / Market.
USA - Market Up, Bond yields up, Gold Down. Oil Up. Unemployment number down (artificial, miscalculated - google "absent but employed")
I 100% agree with @ChristopherC another crash is inevitable and OVERDUE & here's a short story to show why...
HERTZ car hire company.
Announced bankruptcy last week Monday.
Tuesday price dropped $2.80 to 50 cents...
Major shareholder (39%) Carl Icahn sold $2.3 billion of shares for 70 cents each (total $39 million) & lost $2 billion.
TODAY. Hertz share price is $5.53 & they are still in bankruptcy proceedings.
FYI: Once a company bankruptcy is finalised (date/when is the big question) shareholders almost never get money back
2008 recession was due to a lot of issues, but it was *triggered* by the collapse of certain major banks.
I believe Boral is a good company long term I just want our friends here to know short-mid term dangers.
All we need is another trigger then your moneys stuck in for few years (which won't worry long term investors)
