    Some posters seem not to be able to understand their own data, which is not surprising at all.

    Debt as a percentage of GDP is shown by them to have gone from 105.4% to 128.4% under the presidency of the president they adore and from 128.4% to around 131% under the presidency for the time being of a president they seem do loathe.

    And guess what? Yes, you are right. According to them it is the latter and not the former who caused the highest increase in percentual terms.

    Behind the figures there are, of course, policy decisions, which may have been hard to avoid, but that has never been part of the discussion.
