A financial collapse may be counter productive to the digital currency idea as imagine all those people with little or no money in their pocket and they still have a credit card ???
And people having a job they want done and looking to pay peanuts ( they will not want records)
A collapse IMHO will bring actual money ( in some form) back to being the only currency
