    Hi mjg,
I hope this is layman's terms enough and accurate enough.
Bluglass grows Gallium Nitride (GaN) crystals using a method that they have developed a long time ago and have patents on. The method is called remote plasma chemical vapour deposition (RPCVD) which is a cleaner lower cost method of growing GaN crystals, the reason it is cleaner and low cost is because it doesn't need the very high temperatures that the traditional method requires.

That means the product they can sell is better value to the customers and they will have a higher margin. GaN crystals are a potential disruptor/ displacer of silicon semiconductors and are used in LEDs, Solar panels and Lasers. GaN crystals produce lasers in a part of the spectrum (Blue) that has little competition, which is the current focus of Bluglass hence the name Blu.

Patience is the key the key here, I have been in this stock for 15 years and finally believe they have a path to commercialisation in the laser space, and away from just being an R&D 'factory' in any space that seemed to make sense, a shift to operations being in the US, a CEO who seems to be more than just a talker (sorry Giles), and a more serious manufacturing capacity than ever before it could finally come to be a winner but time will tell.
