Itis almost as impossible to overstate just how utterly and dangerously anddestructively chaotic the overall government of the country has become in theless than two years under Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, as it is tocomprehend just how fundamentally and even embarrassingly inept and just plainawful have been almost all the individual ministers.
Yes,you can certainly tick them off - if only, indeed, we had a PM who had theslightest comprehension that he needed to do exactly that: tick them, if not,far better, actually cross them, off - one by almost every one.
Theminister for destroying our electricity system, Chris Bowen - setting to, withan almost unbound relish, “achieve” exactly that, in the shortest possibletime. And so utterly unknowingly, celebrating, each stage on the path to thatultimate success.
Theminister for taking us back to a 1970s industrial relations future - but withalso, all the hyper-destructive 21st century “woke add-ons” - Tony Burke.
Hasthere ever been, in the 124 years of ministerial administration in Australiasince Federation, two ministers in the one government that so seamlesslycombine utter incompetence and supreme confidence in their inabilities?
Then, talking of pairs, there is of course, none more, well, “outstanding”, than theminister for utterly out-of-control immigration, Andrew Giles, and his putativeboss, Home Affairs Minister Clare O’Neil.
Youcould almost see them celebrating the utter debacle they have presided overwith the criminal detainees, about to get another stage worse with the loomingHigh Court decision.
Atleast this has diverted media attention from the even bigger and far moredestructive, and completely out-of-control, accelerating flood of migrants -more than half-a-million, net, last year; and threatening to go even higherthis year.
It’snot simply the staggering number - almost the population of our fifth biggestcity, Adelaide, in just two years.
Justthink about that: the need to build everything that’s in Adelaide; and to do itin two years. Not just the houses, but all the schools, hospitals, roads, rail, power networks, etc.
Andthen staff them. In two years.
Butthe twin realities, that nobody in either political or bureaucratic governmenthas the slightest idea of what to do about this; far less any strategicunderpinning or direction.
Andas for any overall prime ministerial direction or even just oversight? Are youjoking? Fuggedaboutit.
Iinvite you to go through the entire ministry, one-by-awful one.
IndigenousAffairs Minister Linda Burney, who, backed by the entire media, corporate and broadlyelite establishment, “succeeded’’ in turning an 80 per cent “Yes” vote into a60 per cent “No” vote.
DisabilityMinister Bill Shorten, presiding over an explosion in the cost of the NDIS, ontrack to dwarf the entire social security budget.
DefenceMinister Richard Marles, Environment Minister Tanya Plibersek; on an on intheir individual incompetencies.
Andabove them all, a PM who quite simply hasn’t the faintest clue, who seems tothink leadership is about swanning from conference to conference and wearingthe right hat.
Wellmight you lament: Poor Fellow, My Country.
