It's pretty simple.
Someone like yourself (or someone that cannot afford to lose $500) should NOT invest in CVN, or any other small/mid sized oiler.
It's that simple, and CVN paying a dividend would not change that.
Furthermore I repeat the fact that CVN needs it's cash, and cannot afford to pay dividends until it has much higher and sustainable production.

PS I do not know the other company you are referring to but it sounds like the folk expecting the $2 divvies would have been better off believing in the tooth fairy.
