Range is not an issue with EV's. Most ICE vehicles in the US can't go more than 600km on a tank of fuel. Of course, they are more reliable in very hot and very cold weather, but that's not really an issue. The question is how much more coal NTEC has to mine, to provide the electricity, which can't reach too many more consumers with the "current" grid capacity anyway. And lithium is like water, there will be just as much a million years from now as there was a million years ago. It's just a matter of getting the systems set up to recycle it.
