I wonder just how much of a surprise it really is personally.

Not only is John Weston very cluey about Brazil, but the people at their JV partner (UBX) are all ex PetroBras technical staff who would have pretty much made the decision which areas to try and pick up (since the areas were pretty much all held by Petrobras before Brazil moved to provatise the oil industry there.


Obviously they could not know for certain that oil was there or not (never know thattill you stick the hole down there), but they would have known that these joints had a better probability than others.

What does this say for the potential of their other areas now...!!!!!!!!!!

Think we have a serious future mid cap oiler on our hands here.
