DeMon has led to huge distress for small traders, business men and farmers. India is still not recovering from this move, no country in the world is every going to do this again, as it will mean the ruling party which does it will be wiped out in the next election. Modi has gone from a god like figure to a man with feet of clay, a lot of resistance and scepticism to his ideas now across the entire population.
He knows it, so he is going to allow a free for all policy, otherwise he is going to find coming back in 2019 extremely difficult.
Last month he made cash transactions very easy for jewelry purchases.
So all this cashless economy coming in quickly is all BS. ATMs will exist and prosper in India.
