What Abott done was behind doors and cosmetic. It was also reactionary. After all who knows what Barnaby and Abott will produce as a team in the coming months in terms of style. What Abott did was no where near as defamatory as some of the pointed statements Turnball made against the party as a hole. I think Turnball must have felt he was locked in to the leadership to be so outspoken and acute.
As for Hockey, he seems okay but maybe he isn't assertive enough. There are other potential perception flaws unfortunately but thats politics. The other thing is some say he lacks a position on certain things and maybe there is substance to that. Hockey is a good team player but followers need a leader who knows what he/she stands for and where they are going even if they are relatively passive or reconcilatory. I am not sure Hockey is a realistic leadership contender but he is an asset definitely for the party that is without doubt in my opinion.
