Olive, I'll presume you are female but I would not dare presume you read love books.
None the less, could I recommend a book "Vale Valhalla" written by Bruce Gingell's wife. The second half is about slaughter in war. WWI. It won't make you like war more, just maybe what soldiers do and why.
