Whilst its hard to understand the whys & wherefores the theory does hold up when you see the way the R/G are being left exposed to the air.
Why didnt the Iraquis take out the bridges? That would have slowed down the Coalition. Are they 'inviting' them into Baghdad?
There was a report I read some time ago by a US Institute where they said that only the 'Specials' had the chemical and biological WMD. These were to be used on the R/Guards if they broke ranks. One force kept the other force in check. Saddam used WMD to control Iraq.
