Is the news getting worse because we have broadband internet, pay TV mobiles and telephones?

Take a look at the world map very closesly and you will note that there are no smooth bountries. Take a look at Sri Lanka for instance you will find many bays, natural harbours and straits. History suggests this country was apart of India.

So this begs the question - How have these straits bays natural harbours formed? Tsunamis??

I guess in years gone there may not have been sufficient technology to report all this to the world. Besides some of these countries were not well known. People would have died in masses and nobody would have known.

If you take the world population or even the population of the countries affected and look at the loss of life its hardly a drop in the ocean (no punn intended).

SOme may say that this is natures way of controlling the population.

THe religious would say that the countries hit were sin cities and that there is a broader message from God.

There will be another mob saying that the level of edcuation and developlment was low and that is why there were no warning devices in place.

    All sorts of reasons.

Personally I like the nature reason .
