Ching was the single biggest contributor to WPL's oil production at 2.4million barrels. Gives me some confidence that they will want to keep it pumping and get the production up however they can.
Quiet today as we all await Mputa and Flamant news. You would have to expect the upper zone to flow OK given its a thicker reservoir and the fact that the lower zone flowed. Mputa has bigger volumetric upside according to HDR than Waraga .. so lower flow that Waraga could be compensated for by drilling more wells.
Flamant? They would have been at around 1900m again on Monday morning after re-drilling the pilot hole to that level. So 4 more day and now they could be at 2500m+. I wonder if that' deep enough for the primary target? Any ideas?
