Centro needs help !

Centro (CNP.AU) after putting positive spin on strategic review, saying it has received significant number of unsolicited expressions of interest from range of strategic and financial investors in the group and its assets. Says options include recapitalization, equity issuance or acquisition of Centro, or acquisition of Australian and US wholesale funds. Centro shares reacting positively because it's talking up extent of investor demand. But reality is that Centro needs help and may be forced to sell assets below book value. There's still a question mark over whether it will be able to renegotiate maturing debt with bankers before upcoming deadlines. Charts suggest Centro may be toppish at A$1.50.
