Unfortunately the HDR share price is in real trouble now. All we have heard for the last few years ha been about Chinguetti and how its a company maker....yes, there has been the ocassional chatter about their other exploration tenements but Chinguetti has been THE MAIN GAME for HDR for much of the last 4 years.
It is Chinguetti that has garnered the interest of the market place...not their other interests...and the admission from SP that - effectively - "we have to recognize that there's not as much cash flow from Chinguetti as we thought there was and cut our cloth appropriately" means HDR is not worth as much to the market as it was previously.
After all these years....and Chinguetti is now being viewed differently by the company itself from what we have historically been expecting it to be.
None of which is any good for one of the market's worst performing stocks of the last 12 months.
I know though, that sentiment eventually will turn on HDR but it won't be until their Chinguetti production output stabilises, and the market can be VERY comfortable with the EPS numbers.
