The preapproved buy back doesn't have to be large, could be less than how much Sm is down since Jaynes sale.( not the mention our own stock)
I believe that either quarter or monthly in AU companies have to " mark to market " its investments. Although it doesn't reflect on earnings, it does impact the balance sheet.
I still do not believe that they could invest part of their war chest in any better manner.
Also from yesterday's high, stock has moved 10.3 percent. On most posts I refer to their arrogance of silence. Maybe they need to keep her off tv.
