This has been widely known for sometime. They have been forced to shut down mines due to supply crisis. Came down to Eskom trying to dress profit margins by cutting reserves hence why they are in a huge pickle at the moment. They wanted everyone to believe it was wet coal etc etc that was the problem but it was a hard sell.
I suppose though, the underlying factor is the huge global demand for coal at the moment not so much the S.A. requirement. Sure its good to be locked into supplying Eskom but the fact the ol demand - supply = price, only reassures us holders that CDS is a surity. Especially now we have the expertise and brains in the right areas......
Wait for the resource upgrade and kaching kaching $$$$$
