You're right, I don't come close to an annualized return of almost 50%pa.
My long-run aim is to generate a Total Return of between 10% and 15%, comprising capital growth between 5% and 10%pa, and a 5% dividend yield, which is about what I've averaged over time, I suspect.
I find this level, and composition, of return suits my very low tolerance for excessive risk.
