That is simply a bizarre analysis. The one factor that will determine the short-term success of the company is the successful production of oil from Chinguetti and this is proceeding well. The rest of the activities are simply a side-show to the major event.
Potter made the decision to take court action over the $18M because when he arrived, the two companies had reached a stalemate over negotiations. It is his responsibility to recoup all money owing to the company if they believe they are owed. The fact that they have decided to let a Court determine who is right should not be feared and would not impact on the relationship. It is not a personal thing, it is simply business.
I am not sure what you expect from a company but I have doubled my money in less than 2yrs. For me that is a great return and the future looks just as bright.
